Learn More About Our Law Firm
Stephen Wilson – Attorney
Since I was a child, I have always pulled for the underdog in sports. Having now grown up, I continue to root for the underdogs in all aspects of life. And with the power and resources of big insurance companies, it’s only natural that someone who is injured through no fault of his or her own is an underdog when the insurance company does what it does- make money by not paying claims. That’s why it’s easy for me to be a lawyer for people who have suffered an injury or the loss of a loved one.
I have practiced law for over 17 years, mostly in Mississippi. When I started out, I worked for the insurance companies and nearly left the profession. Once I started helping people over 10 years ago, I found my true calling. It is truly an honor and privilege to help people with whatever legal needs that they have. It also follows what I have been taught: Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.
Stephen earned his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 2000. He went straight to law school at the University of Mississippi School of Law, graduating in 2003. He is a 2013 graduate of the Mississippi Bar’s Leadership Forum. He has served as the attorney for the Civil Service Commission for the City of Meridian, Mississippi since 2014. He has served as a prosecutor for the City of Meridian for cases on appeal in County Court.
Outside of the practice of law, he has served in numerous civic organizations, including serving on the Boards of the Jimmie Rodgers Foundation, the Mississippi Center for Legal Services, the Mississippi Association for Justice (formerly Miss. Trial Lawyer’s Association), and has served as Clerk of the Vestry for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Meridian, Mississippi. He has three children, Robert (15), Drew (10), and Sarah (6).
